It’s here, the book is here!

It’s here!  Really it is!  After tackling the writing, and the technical challenges of publishing, the book is finally available on Amazon. Your support during the writing and now for the launch has been amazing. Here is a little snippet for you to whet the appetite: “We drove south to M’Hamid for an unquestionably touristy …

The journey south

Well, at some point, we knew we would have to point Brodie south and return to South Africa.  We have no interested in tackling Egypt or Syria.  We didn’t see very much of South Africa earlier in the year, and so we have saved this as the final country on our adventure. But first, we …

IMG_4739 (448x336)

Our budget for Zambia was almost completely blown out of the water at the border crossing: US$200 lighter, we arrived in Livingstone. Exploring the Luangwa Valley

DSC_2331 (448x298)

Crossing through North Luangwa National Park (NLNP) was something both African GirlChild and I were looking forward to after our time in Malawi. We realised that we really enjoy the bush and the quiet campsites that usually come with a National Park experience. We were not disappointed. When staying at Wildlife Camp just outside South …

What a surprise!

IMG_5246 (448x336)

After crossing the border into Zambia, we very efficiently took care of the chores we had to do: shopping at Shoprite, over to the bank to draw some Zambian Kwacha, into Spar for very last provisions, Highway suprette for coke, fuel station to fill up (20p a litre cheaper than in Malawi) and a stop …
